For instance, if it wasn't for the recommendations of people here, I probably wouldn't have rented Donnie Darko - the ads made it look like a second-rate horror flick. Also, I'm currently serching out Boondock Saints for rental (I rarely buy DVDs, and I never, ever buy DVDs of movies I haven't seen) thanks to recommendations from people here (haven't found it yet though...)
