An editor I once attempted to work for (who, despite being an unbelievably annoying human being, happened to have a lot of good insights) made the following observation about Jean-Claude Van Damme:
"The problem with Van Damme is he just LOOKS like a wimp. I mean, he could walk into this room right now, beat all of us into paste, and I'd STILL think he looked like a weenie. Segal can't act either, but what the hell, at least HE looks evil."
Just thought I'd share that with the rest of the class.
