As my memory is trying to protect me from the awful reality that is Today's Idiotic Populace, I've already forgotten a couple of details. But a couple of weeks ago, me and TheMissus were watching "1 vs. 100" and a question came up saying (more or less) "Which of these has only 2 legs?" The answers were a cockatiel, a cockapoo and some other mammal (I think it was another odd mixed-breed dog). The woman who was the 1 hemmed and hawed, then said, "I know that a cockatiel is a bird...." Now, at that point, I figured she was golden. However, she muttered past the other answers, then hemmed and hawed some more.... And then asked for a help.
I was outraged! I was livid! Sweet buttered Christ on toast with marmalade - HOW MANY FREAKING BIRDS DO YOU KNOW OF WITH MORE THAN 2 LEGS!?!?!?!?! Once the option of "cockatiel" was given, assuming you knew it was a bird, you didn't need to hear any other option!
I blame the modern educational system.
