Don't have to do them until 30th October.

2. How much did you have to pay/get back?

No idea.

3. Did you do them yourself or hire a professional?

Myself.

4. What kind of deductions did you claim?

Work, study.

5. How many deductions did you fudge?

None.

6. Would you rather pay your taxes or go to the dentist?

Lucky enough to not have to pay more tax - mostly get a refund.

7. Are your taxes too complicated? (short answers only - I'm looking at *you*, grundle)

A little, especially when it comes to deductions.

8. Would you be willing to give up deductions to make the tax code simpler? (still looking, grundle!)

Depends on what changes they make.

9. Are your taxes unfair? (no copy&paste either, grundle)

Yes - bracket creep here is a pain in the arse. You pay the top rate after $70k AUD, which is 48.5 cents in the dollar. That encourages tax rorting.

10. What, if anything, should we change about the tax system? (grundle, I mean it!)

Indexed tax brackets, tied to CPI or another valid index.
