It's the funniest UK series for a VERY long time and no doubt the English sense of tragedy/humour doesn't translate well into what is probably yet another shabby US remake. I shudder to think what they've done to the Gareth character.
And it was killed before it started to go downhill (the story arc was complete anyway) - just like Fawlty Towers.
