Things got out of hand in a Nashville area restaurant on Wednesday (Jan. 24) when country singer Naomi Judd was offended by the actions of a male stripper hired by the family of a young girl who was celebrating her 18th birthday.
According to the Brentwood, Tenn. police report, Judd was dining at Amerigo's restaurant with her husband, Larry Strickland, when she got up from her table to go to the restroom. Along the way, she observed a male stripper straddling a young girl in another part of the restaurant. "The subject was sitting in the girl's lap facing her and simulating intercourse," said the report.
Stunned, Judd allegedly poked the stripper on the back of his shoulder, telling him to stop as Amerigo's was a family restaurant. "I could see he was straddling a very young girl," Judd told The Tennessean newspaper. "And their pelvises were touching and they were simulating intercourse," she said. "I was so stunned, I can't even tell you."
As a result of Judd's actions, the stripper allegedly fell over and landed in the lap of the birthday girl, identified as 18-year-old Emily Westermeier, causing her to fall and bump her head. No charges were filed or serious injuries reported in the incident, however.
According to The Tennessean, Westermeier's father, a pathologist, had ordered the stripper for his daughter and had received permission from the restaurant to do so. "An 18th birthday is a real special occasion where you get to be an adult, and the discussion of strippers had taken place in our household," the elder Westermeier told The Tennessean. "And we thought it would be something funny."
As Judd was leaving the restaurant, Emily and her friends reportedly taunted the singer and her husband. At any rate, the birthday girl got her best birthday ever, she told the newspaper. "I got a stripper and I got to bitch out Naomi Judd," she said.
