..but darnit, i couldn't help but like it!
Byrne was pretty cool as Satan ("Don't fuck up the coat!"),
The urine-scene just lambasted me with it's ridiculousness,
and DAMMIT, it had Rod Steiger! Any movie with Rod Steiger automaticaly earns a **1/2 out of **** star rating! :)
As for "Dogma", it was quite clever..
The highlights for me had to be:
Chris Rock as the 13th Apostle. "You knew Christ?"
"Knew him? Nigger owes me 12 bucks!"
Matt Damon's killing spree at the board meeting.
"You haven't done anything wrong. You're a good person... but you didn't say 'God Bless You' when i sneezed!!"
Alan Rickman as Metatron (then again, i just enjoy Alan Rickman in anything) "Do you go around blasting EVERYONE who comes into your room with a fire extinguisher? No wonder you're single..."
The whole theory about how a structure of belief being built on religion was bad idea was really, really neat.
