in my opinion, yes america is still cristian. since when do you see people getting chanukka (or whatever its spelled) off as a national holiday? the same goes for kwanzaa, passover etc. yet christmas and easter and good friday are all national holidays. even the president has his morning prayer bullshit and all that. now to the movie. the man in ther beachhead wasnt a medical officer, he was a rgular soldier. about your bitching on the germans tactics, the germans who held the normandy beach head were not veterans, in fact , they were mostly conscripts and ostruppen (russian soldiers in the german army). there was the 21st panzer regt., who was very experienced but for the most part, the germans defending normandy at thte invasion beaches were not veteran divisions. with your part with "saving a germans life only to have him turn on you,". the german nicknamed "steamboat willie" was an SS soldier, who was freed by miller himself. they let him walk into a wood were he was supposed to meet up with the americans. but he met up with germans. and in the heat of battle when he killed miller, the german probably could not tell that he was miller. on your part with the racist books against germans, i guess since i have not read them you might be right. and with your comments on the german battle tactics, i have to agree, the krauts were like something out of combat.
