Mr. Cranky is supposed to be a satirist. He'll award 'bombs' to movies instead of stars, to show how much a movie sucks.
Point taken.
To show how much a movie sucks, Mr. Cranky uses wit and intellect to write a humorous review that will leave a smile (at least) on the reader's face. Also, Mr. Cranky, will actually tell us, during his biting yet humorous review, what the movie is about.
Point taken, number two!
However, it is not Mr. Cranky's job to write so little about the movie's actual theme to make it seem not worth the trouble to check out.
