10/27/03: "Scary Movie 3" gets nearly $50M in its first weekend

With no competition next week (the only things that open are the "director's cut" of "Alien," "The Human Stain" in semi-wide release and kid-oriented "Brother Bear" on Saturday), most likely it will be #1 again and end up grossing close to what the first two movies made combined. Looks like the PG-13 rating was a very wise move on Disney's part.
