If you get rid of the death tax, then it means that there will be more money in the private sector. More spending on consumer products, more money saved in the bank, more private sector investrment, etc. This means more jobs. So the result is that *fewer* people will go hungry.

Social Security is funded through social security taxes, not inheritance taxes.
Actually, Bush favors letting people put their social security taxes into private accounts. Last year, I posted an article about a real world example of how a loophole in the Social Security Act allowed certain government workers to put their social security tax dollars into a private account. The accounts were fully insured, and 100% safe. A retired worker who would have gotten $1,300 a month from social security would have gotten $6,800 a month from the private account. This is because while social security gives an annual return of about 1%, the private accounts gave an annual return of about 6%.
Democrats who oppose privatization want retired people to live at poverty benefits of $1,300 a month. So Democrats want people to be poor. But Libertarians and Republicans would prefer to let people put their money in a private account, and live on $6,800 a month.
So please, since you are a Democrat who opposes these private acounts, please don't pretend that you are the one who cares about Social Security recipients. You want them to live on a measely $1,300 a month. That's really pathetic.

Bush doesn't want to "give" money to the rich. Instead, he wants to let them keep the money that they have earned.
Furtheremore, as a percentage of what people pay in income taxes, Bush's tax cut is bigger for the poor and middle class than it is for the rich.
The fact that you resort to attacking "the rich" just goes to show how much you love class warfare. That guy in the above article is one of these "rich" people. He worked hard, saved, and was thrifty his whole life. And for this, you think that he is evil. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
