It's sad because after working and saving his whole, brief life, he felt that he had to take all sorts of weird actions to try to prevent the government from taking the money. My concern isn't so much with the heirs as it is with the guy who eanred the money in the first place. He worked hard to earn and save that money. If he wants to leave it to people in his will, then he should be free to do so without the threat of having the governent confiscate it.
When you own somehting, you have the right to give it away. If the government doesn't let you give away your property, then you don't really own it.
My primary sympathy is not with the heirs. My primary sympathy is with the person who worked hard and saved all his life. That money belongs to him, and the governent has no business taking if from him.
