...or just plain stupid???The cop said they were going to watch the movie..what else would mean??!!the whole about how people know who is or is not going to die is all part of the big joke!!Scream started out as a parody of horror movies..one of the jokes is that people know these things but are just too stupid to do anything about them!!!I hope this answers your 'why' questions.
