Is it possible that infuriated Englishmen and Englishmen are aware of their lost liberty and seeking it once more? I can scarce believe it, but, I must own, I do believe it to be possible, for no human being is so dead to that cherished pantheon of all that is best about being human, liberty, that he or she cannot cherish a spark of hope of recovering that liberty!
Nay, Colonel Laurens, I cannot stay any longer -- I must go to Britain posthaste, so that I may assist my poor former compatriots recover that for which you and I and all honest Americans are fighting!
