Perhaps you forgot about all the Republicans that wanted Bill Clinto to die from 1993 to 2001. They hated that draft-dodgin', marijuana-inhalin', panty-raidin' tax raiser more than anybody's ever hated Bush or Kerry. But I digress. The point is that all presidents are hated by a significant portion of the population (even George Washington -- ask those dudes that took part in the Whiskey rebellion). Doesn't mean they won't get re-elected (ask Bill Clinton) and doesn't mean you have to get up in arms over it. Bush is on course for re-election, so why bother getting so defensive?
