Method 1: Die and have public relations portray your death as a tragedy. Case in point is, of course, Selena, who if alive today, would have been ignored and remained an unknown nobody.
Method 2: Get caught in a illegal act with someone who is already famous, and then hog the media spotlight. How else would anyone explain Jessica Hahn's, Heidi Fleiss', and Paula Jones' fame.
