Apparently, many people do not understand how web sites make money. In our case, it is not from either t-shirt sales or donations. It is from ads.
Let's all be clear. WE CONTINUE TO EXIST BECAUSE OF THE MONEY WE MAKE FROM ADVERTISING.
The fact that you are seeing more ads is not a sign of our impending demise. Quite the opposite. It is a sign of our health because advertisers see us as a good place to put their ads.
I realize many of you find this annoying. However, the one way you can support this site without getting up off your chair, is for you to click on an ad each time you come to the site. Either that or use one of our links on the home page to purchase stuff you buy at Amazon, CD now, or Allposters. This really helps us. Clicking on the ads proves to our advertisers that our audience is loyal and it's worth advertising here.
I hope none of you are kidding yourselves about the future of the web and your favorite web sites. We must generate revenue to pay our bills. If we generate no revenue, this money will come straight out of our pocket and when that starts happening, the demise of the site will be follow.
Right now, we are probably as healthy as we've ever been in terms of our ad-generating power. Rest assured, every site you frequent needs to make money to survive, and we are no different. I hope you will do what you can to support us.
