10/10/05: The Scene Explained

First of all, the person shown in the picture is not Summer Glau. It was an actress hired to play River as a nine or ten-year-old. Summer, as you'll note when you do get around to actually seeing Serenity, looks way younger that her 24 years but not quite THAT young. In the scene shown, River and her brother are escaping from a government facility (no, not a fucking public school, grundle!) and he has told her they must separate as the goons are searching for a man and a girl, and she must make her way up into the building structure.

And also, Roman Polanski is on the loose.
