10/11/05: Can somebody explain to me why this movie is tanking?

Good fan base + darn fine sci-fi flick that stands on its own should = dynomite? What happened? I haven't a clue. Serenity had compelling characters, a good story, a good bad guy, same bad good guys, and some decent cinematography. Serenty garnered and 81/87 RottonTomatoes/Cream of the Crop rating, which is pretty incredible for a space opera. It is playing on 2187 screens?

So where are the droves of people?

I think the droves need to get off their asses and see this. They're really missing something.
