First of all, I don't get why people are so threatened by Hillary Clinton. Is it because she's intelligent? Educated? A woman who is confident in herself? A woman who doesn't bow down to the men around her? I know few females who dislike her, only males, and I can only think that it's because she dares to speak her mind. Horrors! You'd think this was the 1890's and not the 1990's.
Would you prefer Nancy Reagan, (you know, the one who brought in the spiritualists and ran interference to sensor what reached her husband?), or mild mannered Barbara Bush (who wasn't allowed to speak freely of her pro-choice opinion but had to "be seen and not heard"?). Or perhaps you don't read history and understand what a strong woman can do for her country, (I suggest you learn about Eleanor Roosevelt).
It's obvious to me that you haven't been around for very many of our White House couples. I've watched 10 elections in this country, and a variety of people going in and out of the White House. Let me tell you something. A politician is a politician is a politician. They're all the same. They're all corrupt. It's just the way it is. But, our system does work, the checks and balances do work, and good laws prevail, while bad laws are eventually laid to rest. It's just that it takes time, and in this society, where patience is practically non-existant and attention spans seem to last 15 seconds, the art of watching life evolve is quickly being lost.
