I don't know all that much about Hilary. From what I know of her she sounds admirable - a strong, intelligent woman. She gave some speech to 'prominent Australian women' while she was here and one of her points was that we should stop judging women by hairdos and clothes, and stop pigeonholing them with stereotypes. I agree with this, but I wonder then why she felt she had to have such an extensive makeover as her husband's political career furthered.
Bill seems a bit of a dick, but hey our new PM is far worse. I felt a bit ill at the sight of the Australian public syconphantically slurping up their arses while he visited here. They lined the streets shouting 'onya Bill, yay Hill, woo hoo' all over the place, like they were some kind of rock stars. It was cringeworthy. Apparently all the crowds they encounterd were 'hand picked', but still it was a demeaning spectacle.
