Can someone please give me their two cents about where they think this movie is set? Also, the credits are cool, yet impossible to read, so I'd like to know where they did actually film it. They set our minds to thinking in the beginning when Freeman and Pitt talk about why he decided to relocate THERE by choice. Later, Paltrow bitches about the "city". And on and on and on.... The aerial shots of the city look like Manhattan. Raining all the time makes one think of Seattle, but we know the rain was done for mood setting. PPaltrow talks about moving from "upstate". However, they are able to drive by car to the desert (looked like Nevada or somewhere in the west) for the final scene. I personally think that they don't want us to figure out where the setting is, specifically to drive the point home that these kind of things happen everywhere and the state of the world is degenerating in general.
