Billy Elliot was not that great of a film - Traffic got much better overall reviews, and the AA already has Erin Brockovich in the "not really good enough" category. Plus, I think Traffic could win Best Picture - Almost Famous is the kind of film which gets nominated but doesn't win, CTHD is a foreign language film (no foreign language film has ever won Best Picture), Erin Brockovich isn't that much of a critics' darling, and Gladiator is a good, but not particularly profound, action flick. I haven't seen Traffic, but it looks like an incredible film which deals with serious issues - remember, Silence of the Lambs and Unforgiven weren't exactly "feel-good' films...
