There is no evidence that gays make worse parents than heterosexuals. Florida bans them from adopting anyway. This clearly discriminatory.
On the other hand the incidence of HIV/AIDS is much higher among gay men, drug addicts and prostitutes than the general population. Since the disease is mutating rapidly it might not be possible to test for new strains. Therefor it makes sense to ban these three groups because there is a statistical basis for it.
Discrimination means causing someone harm for no logical reason. Also blood donors are just that, donors. Since they donate for free they suffer no monetary loss.
