Art is often offensive and shocking- and therefore can be criticized... And no- I don't fancy myself the "perfect comedian" but often funny stuff is offensive in some aspect. If it's not political, it's a sex and shit joke.
I wasn't trying to pick on Dick- he's funny... because he's an old man who accidentally shot a friend in the face- come on people- THAT's hilarious! Ah, good times- one of those moments in American history where we can laugh instead of cry.
It's also a lot easier to remember than boring names and dates. Everyone looks back in fondness when George Bush senior puked on the Emperor of Japan- or when Bill Clinton did just about anything.
So if Cranky liked my caption then I'm glad. The rest of you who hated it- well, I was thinking of making a joke about Bloody Mary the mirror witch (the one we all summoned during middle school sleepovers- ps- why do kids think it's fun for someone to scratch you in the face?)- so insert the joke of your choice.
