06/30/07: Voters in Oregon, a liberal state, voted 80% - 20% AGAINST universal

health care on a 2004 ballot initiative.

If liberals can't run universal health care in a liberal state like Oregon, why do they think they could run it at a much larger level like the federal government?

Well, gosh, the federal government has been so successful with FEMA and Hurricane Katrina, ending poverty since President LBJ declared war against it, making U.S. public schools the best in the world, and keeping illegal drugs out of schools and prisons, then yeah, sure, I'm postitive that the federal government would be great at running health care!
