Once you're doing something only for the money, it's just a job. It might be writing, music, illustration - so- called 'art' - but you're only shilling. They're not your ideas, your vision. Your heart isn't really in it. You're only acting the part. Being paid for a labour of love is the icing on the cake, not the cake itself.

Nick-the-Knife's advice is good. I'd say 'join a theatre workshop.' Better still, start up your own. You can work out a lot of shit without spending money you don't have and you'll (hopefully) meet some pretty interesting people.
