..not sure if you realize this, or no, but it's a based on a line of videogames that, over the past few years, have been packed full of CGI-Cinema Sequences.. Square (the company producing it) is simply taking the next step, creating an entire product based on their CGI-Sequences, much like "Wing Commander" tried to take the step from Full-Motion Video-Sequenced-Video-Games into the movie theatre (albeit with disasterous results!)
I'm really lookin' forward to FF, though.. Those Final Fantasy people know how to put together a neat story, and from what i've seen, the animation looks amazing! (admittedly, though, i haven't seen it in motion, yet)
