11/23/00: Legalizing euthanasia *is* a murky field

However, there are some instances where a person is clearly sane, clearly in great pain, clearly wants to die quickly and painlessly, and will in fact die within six months in a horribly painful manner. Yet such people are not allowed by law to have help killing themselves. That is just plain wrong.

By the way, I simply don't understand the attitude that refusing treatment is moral and requesting euthanasia is immoral. I know a lot, perhaps the majority, see there is a difference. I don't see it.
