My sib lives in Harlem. 45 minute trek to work everyday.
They pay an exorbitant sum for what amounts to a studio. Course, they make enough money that it's ok, but still - even "cheap" apartments in "cheap"er places cost more per month than my mortgage payment.
My sib is *finally* getting out next month, after 15 years in the city. They are wicked psyched, and I am wicked psyched for them.
