Wow, you so need to chill.... it's just a funny movie, calm down already. Do you really expect that every movie needs (or will) depict a time period as it is? Of course not! Just like everything was not groovy in the 60's, every thing is not cell phones and vapid teenagers in the 90's. But just as that didn't stop Austin Powers from making the 60's look like that, it doesn't stop films like 10 Things I Hate About You from being made. So just chill out and get off your high horse. You are free not to spend $ to see the movie but it's you who is missing out.
