Great: Stand by Me, The Shawshank Redemption, Carrie, Misery, The Green Mile

Good: It (tv), The Stand (tv), The Shining (Stanley Kubrick, not the TV version), The Dead Zone, Needful Things, Secret Window, Storm of the Century (tv), Firestarter, The Lawnmower Man (this barely counts, it was so different from the short story), Dolores Claiborne, Apt Pupil, The Running Man (also quite different from the novella)

So-So: Cujo, Pet Sematary, Christine, Creepshow, Creepshow 2, Cat's Eye, Silver Bullet, Thinner

Bad: Children of the Corn, Sleepwalkers, Dreamcatcher, Tommyknockers (tv)

Ugly: Graveyard Shift, The Langoliers (TV, worst FX ever!), Maximum Overdrive (but oh-so-much B-movie fun!)

Haven't Seen: The Shining (tv version), The Golden Years (tv), Red Rose (tv), The Dark Half, Salem's Lot, The Mangler (Robert Englund!), Room 1408
