"The Talented Mr Ripley" is the shows name. What is not in the title is the "Written by an untalented screenwriter." This movie succeeds in being one of the most completly worthless movies I have ever had the misfortune of plunking down $7.50 to see. The languid pace is that of an August day in the south, with out the advantage of the fun stuff like humidity and mosquitoes. The plot is as thin and manufactured as most of the items in your average Victoria's Secret. I have never wanted a movie to end as bad as this one. I kept getting my hopes up, only to be crushed time and time again. This movie should come with a disclaimer - you will never be able to regain the next 2 1/4 hours of your life...choose wisely.
