01/03/03: Anyone here ever been to a bull fight?

I haven't, but I watched one in high school on video in Spanish class.

It's actually pretty sick. I'm not a vegetarian, so you can call me a hypocrite if you like, but the animals are so abused. They're injured before the fight even starts, so they're weakened and dazed and easier to manipulate. So how is this entertaining? Gee, man triumphs over stupid, wounded animal? NO WAY.

I'd like to see a *fair* bullfight - no weapons, no stabbing the bull ahead of time, no gay costumes and swishy fabrics - just man vs. big animal. I'd like to see some little Spainard with a horn up his ass - just a drop in the bucket of Karma, but it would do my heart good.
