". . . Iraq has no reason to attack the U.S. Hussein is a mass-murdering butchering paranoid dictator. He is also NOT certifiably insane."

Not officially, as in "we officially declare war on the U.S." They would not do that. An attack on the U.S. would be a terrorist attack like a truck nuke outside the White House or a bio or chemical attack in Manhattan--something difficult to prove the origin of. His motives of revenge and his hatred of the U.S. and Bush are much more compelling than anything North Korea has.

"Though he has blustered orally for the benefit of his population and the rest of the Arab world, there has been no evidence to link him to Al-Quaeda or other terrorst organizations."

Evidence of links to al-Qaeda, blah, blah, are essentially irrelevant in this matter.

"Iraq itself is a secular, tribally-based dictatorship with no radicalism of ANY kind, must less religious fanaticism, allowed. On pain of torture and death."

This is weak and kind of pointless based on Saddam's past behavior.

"North Korea has nukes, for god's sake, and Kim and his nutty dad have had a history for over five decades now of murder and kidnapping outside of their own country, of the nationals of other countries."

Firstly, their nukes may only be able to reach Hawaii at best, and secondly, even if they could reach U.S. mainland, a launch from North Korea would be instantly detected by us and retaliation would destroy them utterly. No motivation for that.

"But then again, Korea doesn't sit on the second-largest reserves of oil in the world."

Yeah, it's all about oil. That's such a fucking cheap shot. No, nothing about preventing a madman from acquiring weapons that could kill millions of Americans whilst proving difficult to ascertain their origin.
