...is why all the new races of people, who live thousands and thousands of light years away and nobody from the Federation has ever met them before, is how the damn Universal Translator can make their language into perfect English. I know there's some bullshit about all the races in the Star Trek Universe being *REALLY* distant reletives, but come on.
