After i graduated, i spent about a week trying to figure out how i managed to win some sort of 1000 dollar Scholarship for apparently being the guy who "Worked the Hardest but didn't really have anything else to show for his efforts but this lousy T-shirt".. (because my average was about the 8th best in my class, which is nothing to write home about.. maybe alot of teachers liked me.. it's STILL a mystery to me)
Then i spent a couple days trying to figure out whether i REALLY wanted to go to University for Computer Science (Cause, you see, up here in Canada, you have to declare your major for College or University about 5 months BEFORE You actually graduate from High School.. WHICH really sucks)..
After that, i went on a baseball road-trip and rented out my hotel room to any of my fellow players who had brought back waitresses from the nearby restaurant..
(I was a natural Entrepreneur.. i charged 20 bucks for 15 minutes in the room alone with the waitress of the player's choice.. me and my buddy made over 400 bucks that night.. that was neat.. though i didn't go back into the room after the sordid affair was complete.. Yucky, i can just imagine the mess..)
Oh the memories..
Congratulations, by the way, miss Veruca..
Don't worry, college and University are exactly like High School, only now, the teachers don't really care whether you work or no... I was told, before going in, that you get out of College what you put into it, and it's so true..
If you work hard, you will do well..
If you don't, you'll be outta there faster then you can say "Kevin Spacey is no Ahmed Best"..
It took me a couple of year's to figure this out, and i came dangerously close to being expelled from my program..
Good luck to you in the future! What are your plans?
