I never quite understood how this film is considered a masterpiece. I think DeNiro is one of the best actors in the business and I think Scorsese is one of the best directors, but I don't understand the reasoning behind making this boring film. If you don't think that this is boring than watch Raging Bull or Goodfellas and then come back and watch Taxi Driver. It almost seems like DeNiro and Scorsese were practicing their talents, or fucking around if you will, and gave their "bullshit" a title; Taxi Driver. Is this really a "movie" or a "home movie"?
