10/15/04: Pathetic

Posted By: ArchQStanton

"They're fucking actors, yet they try to convey the sense that they're knowledgeable about something other than acting."

I notice that doesn't stop mediocre film critics from doing the same. Where did you get your doctorate in political science? Or don't you think actors are entitled to their opinions?

"The fact that anyone actually cares what these morons have to say is a sad, sad commentary on the state of voluntary thought in our country."

So some people pay attention to the tiny fraction of celebrities that actually voice dissenting opinions? What a tragedy. And just how wacko do you think these "knee-jerk, socialism- spewing liberals" are? I don't recall you addressing their concerns or talking points in your Culture Wars forum. I also don't recall you addressing this issue before: i.e. that celebrities automatically get a public forum for their social/political "insights" no matter how banal or deranged they may be. So perhaps it's alright for some apolitcal shithead like Christina Ricci to get national coverage for her dissertations on the odor of her feet or for Oprah to spew out reams of pop-pysch drivel on air and in print. But if small bands of actors dare to question the fascist bellicosity of our holy leaders ... that's in bad taste?

What a crock of slug shit.

And you only started criticizing Bush when his stupidity and psychosis became too egregious to ignore. Where was your big nasty mouth two years ago when some discussion might have made a difference?

"Believing in something is always more interesting than believing in nothing."

Perhaps it's time you took some of your own advice.
