From a political viewpoint, Ayn Rand's views were completely libertarian. Although she did not like the Libertarian Party itself, she was completely libertarian in her political ideas.
For you to equate her ideas with those of Hitler has got to be one of the most inaccurate things that I have ever read in my life.
Ayn Rand believed that there are only 3 legitimate functions of government:
1) police, to protect innocent people from murderers, muggers, and rapists
2) a court system, to make sure that laws are obeyed, and contracts are enforced
3) a military defense, to protect our country from the military of other countries
Adolph Hitler murdered millions of people. Ayn Rand was against this.
Adolph Hitler favored a very close relationship between the government and businesses. Ayn Rand was against this.
Adolph Hitler favored gun control. Ayn Rand was against this.
Adolph Hitler favored government control of the media. Ayn Rand was against this.
Adolph Hitler favored public education. Ayn Rand was against this.
Adolph Hitler favored things like corporate welfare, price controls, wage controls, government controls on proudction, government controls on distribution, etc. Ayn Rand was against these things.
Adolph Hitler beleived in huge amounts of government control in just about every area of life. Ayn Rand was against this.
Adolph Hitler beleived that you should judge a person based on their genetic makeup. Ayn Rand beleived that you should judge a person based on their ideas.
