I find it odd that Zeffirelli is usually referred as a great director, one that has a long list of impressive classics, one whose name automatically guarantees quality to a film, yet ironically no one can recall a film that he has done...
Films that people actually recall by Zeffirelli:
-"Hamlet" '90, known better as "Mel Gibson's Hamlet", and considered by most as a not so inspiring film. People don't even recall Zeffirelli's name attached to the film.
-"The Champ", flick recalled only to make Jon Voight and RickY Schroeder jokes...
-"Jesus of Nazareth": Catholics love to show this film all the time, yet never recall his name attached to it, unless a priest is making an anouncement at "quality movie night" at the local Church...
So, where is ze great Franco?...
