The Terminator could of been one of those "run of the mill", kill everything that moves type of movie. But it wasn't. James Cameron took the time out to draw realistic carachters who we (as viewers) actually gave a damn about. And aren't carachters what make a movie? The story itself was very ingenious and well thought out. It was very easy to get absorebed in the whole story line. Eventhough the movie was extremely violent, it was never gratuitous. Every act of violence in there was motivated (if you could think that the Terminator feels any motivation). Mr. Cameron is known for his violent story-telling talent. But through all the violence, you could still see the story. And if I were in Kyle's shoes, I don't think I would have acted that differently.
