You know, I also thought that in T2 that the war will eventually have to happen because then there'd be no need to send them back. Make sense? I mean, otherwise they won't need John Connor as a great leader - nothing to lead against. No need for Terminator to kill him as a kid or before he was born. If the war doesn't happen, and Reese doesn't go back, then wouldn't little John have instantaneously disappeared from existence?
