Ok, did we both watch the same movie????

Were you a wimp and have your eyes covered when <spoiler> the two chicks are in the van... LeatherFace is on the roof... and the first chick jumps out of the van... "dumbass chick running from the killer and fall right on her ass let'n it mutilate her"!!!!! Did you like forget how she got killed?? Very slowly.... W A T C H T H E M O V I E A G A I N.
The movie as it stands on it's own merits was good... but it's too much of the slasher/F13th/Freddy genre. They went for "startle" effect, instead of "creepy" effect that the original movie had. It's a great horror/action movie with just a touch of macabre... but the original was scary because of the "atmosphere", the "creepyness" of the movie, not always just the action.
The top 2 all time creep features... Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Hills Have Eyes. Check'em out.
