Although DERANGED fictionalizes the story to a great degree. That's necessary, of course, since making a movie that would mirror the actual life of Ed Gein would be impossible to sit through. Incidentally, there's a book by the name of ED GEIN: PSYCHO by Paul Anthony Woods that's really excellent - you'd swear the guy got into Ed's head and poked around to write the book.
Now when the hell are they going to do a movie about Albert Fish?
