1. What's the most unnecessary MOVIE remake?
THE HAUNTING runs second to Phuq's nomination of PSYCHO as the most unnecessary for the reasons he pointed out, but for sheer shit-all-over-the-original "Fuck You's" to the audience, Jan "I couldn't make a decent film if you held a gun to my head" DeBont's raping of the classic is worthy of a shotgun enema.
2. What's the most awful move "remade" from a TELEVISION show?
Tough question. Again, Phuq's nomination is perfect, but to that you can add both ADDAMS FAMILY movies, THE LITTLE RASCALS (although technically that was based on a series of shorts shown in theaters)... the end is listless.
3. What's the best remake?
I haave yet to see a remake that was better than the original, but the ones that come to mind that were not bad are HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, THE JACKAL (as long as you can ignore Richard Gere's pathetic attempt at an Irish accent), but as for "best" I have no nominees.
