Just about all my info on this one other than random mentions comes from browsing through the imdb forums but from what I can tell it's a remake of the 1982 version or a sequel. There's been rumors floating around that it's gonna be a Sci-Fi channel miniseries and that John Carpenter is involved, too. It's pretty much all speculation now but wouldn't it be a terrible idea?
