Because nobody really wanted the first one, so what the hell made them think somebody wanted a second one? (Besides Coaster, of course.)
I'm with MadNess on "Viva Rock Vegas" but I'll reserve judgment on the best remake until later this afternoon after I finish "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (I never saw the first "LOTR" movie and I'm no huge fan of the trilogy, so I can't necessarily say the remake was better).
