is how sure they are that all the "Green River Killer" deaths are related.
They can't reveal a lot of the evidence because the cases are still open. So all *I* know about the killings is that the bodies were all dumped in the same *large* area, and the victims were all prostitutes of a sort that are frequently the victims of violent crime. So it hardly seems impossible that the killings are the work of 2 or 3 or even 10 different guys.
In fact, I can't help but wonder if the publicity surrounding the killings might have given somebody the idea that the Green River was a good place to dump bodies - 'hey, somebody's already dumped x-number of bodies there without getting caught, maybe I can too, maybe they'll catch him and they'll pin my murder on him.' Of course, it's more likely that the publicity would convince someone *not* to dump bodies in the area (anymore?), since the area was presumably under greater scrutiny.
