1) Do you wanna be a cowboy/cowgirl?
Nah...I'm not that sort of chap.
2) Do you admit to owning a copy of the Urban Cowboy soundtrack?
Even if I did own a copy - which I don't - I wouldn't admit to it.
3) What's so good about country music anyways? Other than all the hot chicks that yodel?
I'm no great country music aficionado - I pretty much draw (ha! "draw") the line at Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris. When the lap steel comes out I usually turn off.
Actually, I saw an Aussie country singer named Kasey Chambers on Saturday night and SHE was phenomenal. She's hitched her wagon to Lucinda's carriage (a smart move, IMHO) and is apparently shifting lots of units in the US. Not bad for a chick from the Nullabor Plain.
4) Country musak in elevators would lead to a higher suicide rate yes?
How? Are you suggesting that it would lead people to cut the cables or something? Pretty unlikely.
5) When you played cowboys and indians what role did you prefer and why?
Colonial oppressor. Because we always win.
6) Is it really all that fun/cool to be a cowboy?
Sure. Not as much fun as being a pirate on the Amazon though.
7) Name the greatest film of the western genre ever created. You may also discuss the greatest acting performance if you so desire.
"A Fistful Of Traveller's Cheques" (The Comic Strip)
8) Do cowboys tip cows for fun?
Sure. The cows are mad for it.
9) Would you rather dance like a cowboy or a rap singer or a Russian ballet dancer?
None of the above.
10) So do you like southern accents or country accents or do try really hard to not to giggle when you hear southern twangs? Does it sound better from a chick than a guy or vice versa?
I like Southern accents; probably due to the whole Gone With The Wind romanticism. "Oh Aish-leee!"
